We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. The Longhorns certainly gave us something to celebrate with a thrilling game-winning field goal to beat the Aggies.

The time is upon us for the Lonestar Showdown--one of the most anticipated games of the season! This will be the last meeting between the Longhorns and Aggies for the foreseeable future, so this is for long-term bragging rights in the state of Texas.

How 'bout some love for this new-found running game and ball-hawking defense?!? Another solid victory last weekend, as Texas dominated the Red Raiders. This week, the Longhorns get a chance to give Missouri a proper "farewell" before they leave for the SEC.

Iowa State Game-Watch Oct. 1 @ 6 PM

After that awesome thumping of UCLA, how excited are you to see what this young Texas team can do next?!?

Join us again this Saturday at 6 PM at Cooter Brown's Tavern for this week's game-watch! Come see our Texas Longhorns open Big 12 play against the Iowa State Cyclones!

You know the drill by now... We'll have a huge HDTV, all the Shiner you can handle (responsibly, of course), the Texas Fight song, giveaways, and extra Longhorn spirit saved up from the bye week.

Thanks for the great turn-out last week for the BYU game! Texas got off to another slow start, but it certainly made for an exciting finish.

Let's keep the momentum rolling this week! Join us at Cooter Brown's Tavern at 2:30pm for our next game-watch. Texas looks for payback as they take on the UCLA Bruins at the Rose Bowl.

1st Game-watch of the Season - Sept. 10

Our Longhorns got the season off to a solid start against Rice last Saturday. Applewhite and Harsin have certainly added many new and exciting twists to the offense, and the defense looks like it hasn't skipped a beat under Manny Diaz. Check out the highlights.

Game-watches will be at a new and improved location this year... Cooter Brown's Tavern!! We've been promised a 70-inch TV with sound for all games. We're also working hard on some stuff to kick it up a notch. More to come soon... get excited!

As for the Rice game... Unfortunately, none of the bars in New Orleans are currently carrying the Longhorn Network, so we won't be holding a game-watch on Sept. 3. We've looked all over, so if you know of any way to get it, please let us know (nola@alumni.utexas.net).
